Rear shock replacement

Hi Guys!

I am the new owner of a GTS toscana Dynamic ( relabeled generic chinese scooter) which has a 50cc 139qmb engine with 10 inch wheels and a single rear shock. After having driven about 1000 km’s I am wondering if there is a better rear shock for it?

The local scooter shops don’t have any real knowledge about these chinese scooters and want to keep them as stock as possible. All i know is that the current rear shock is quite skinny due to it being a tight fit and other gy6 shocks are to big to fit.

Can anyone push me in the right direction? Would be very grateful.
