Smile Speedometer Not working (Hawk DLX)

Hi there long time reader of these forums, dirt time posting. I have a hawk dlx with around 100 miles on it. The speedometer or odometer has never been working. It shows RPMs and shows the gear, headlights all that stuff on the dash but no speed or milage. Could y'all help me troubleshoot? I did use the search feature and couldn't find any similar posts. Thanks in advance!

Your speed sensor is not connected. Fallow the the wire to the back of your headlight and make sure it is connected securely. That would be my guess.

Or the piece that goes inside the speedometer housing didn't get put in? Mine fell out a bunch before I installed it.

These types of bikes are known to snap their Speed-O cables out of the box. Check that.

Guys, my DLX doesn't have a cable just a electronic sensor on the front axle and it plugs in behind the headlight. What I think happened is the wire wasn't plugged or plugged snugly enough. My thoughts
