Hawk 250 Fork Seals

I just want to confirm that these fork seals fit the Hawk 250 in case anyone was looking for an exact replacement. I changed them and fork oil Saturday morning. 125+ miles and no more leak. Also did my oil change and checked valve adjustment. They were spot on.

Sweet, maybe those should be added to Dan's sticky. And I gotta ask, what type and weight fork oil and how much? Enquiring minds want to know!

Is there a body weight to ml ratio or guide?

Example - I'm 210 lbs .. what would be a recommended amount of ATF ml ?

Not that I know of. I'm thinking about drilling and tapping my fork caps and installing Schrader valves to adjust the firmness. I had them on my old Honda 200x. it's amazing what adding few psi of air will do. https://www.amazon.com/Hornet-NPT-Ta...%2C195&sr=8-11

You can adjust the pre-load in the forks. There should be a spacer in the top of each fork. If not, add one to each fork. PVC is fine for this. If there are already ones in there, go longer to increase the pre-load.

You're already getting some "air suspension" when you up the fluid levels. I know this from measuring before and after with my weight on it. I added 9 nickels and 210ml of oil to each side and it raised the forks 1.25". And 9 nickels stacked doesn't equal 1.25".

Interesting, I actually took the stock spacer out of my TBR forks because the front rode to high for me even with the rear lowered... I'm tippy toeing at red lights... not the greatest feeling for a new rider.

Same with Jay's TBR, we initially put 210ml in his and he didn't care for it so we took the factory spacers out and brought the level down to 185ml. You might wanna run it at 160 to 170ml to see if it's more to your liking.

My first fork oil change I had 175ml in on fork and 210ml in the other. My Honda manual has 200-210ml. I'll look through some of my other manuals and see what they have. I'm sure 170ml is fine too.

Here's what my manual has which has the same specs. as the Hawk forks. The other manuals show anywhere from 140ml to 180ml but the forks aren't the exact spec as the Hawk. Not saying either is the correct amount but basing it on what I took out of my Hawk fork and the specs that match the Hawk forks I went back with 220ml as it works the best with my weight. I don't know the exact specs on the TBR7 forks but they look to be the same as the Hawk. And to be honest it should be measured by the oil level when the fork is compressed. This is something I'll check on the next fork oil change. BTW the oil I took out was nasty for only being in there for 7-8 months.
