Templar X wiring help

Im wiring the stock speedo to the bike. Have 5 wires left on speedo side and 3 on bike side, none color match so Im assuming that I have some connections to make that either arent color matched or splice into another wire somewhere. Thanks for the help!

I do not think there is a wiring harness diagram available. This is a common issue with Chinese bikes.

Maybe the only way to identify wires is with an ohmeter and tracking them back to where they come from. Did the new gauges come with a wiring diagram. This could help. For instance, you could see if powering specific lines (12V) turned on a light or a number (gear indicator).

Are you assembling a new bike or have you bought a replacement speedometer? Not clear on what's going on. I had no such wiring issues with assembling mine. They were a little puzzling but no big deal to find the matching colors for me. If you are just assembling a new bike I'm sure some of us can have a look at our wiring for comparison.

Its a new bike. Stock wiring harness to stock speedo. If only it was as simple as color matching. The issue is they dont color match.. I have multiple connectors with mismatched wiring. This is apparently standard practice for them as Ive confirmed it with the manufacturer in China. Im pretty salty about all this and about to just get a refund. $2,500 to my door, I dont expect to play bloody DIY electrician and have to redo the whole wiring harness myself. Thanks for the tips anyway guys..

What happened to the connectors?
Black tape?

I've assembled three Chinese crate bikes, and the wiring harnesses have always had distinct connectors in the various wires that get stuffed behind the headlight. I've never had to splice bare wires. There have always been unique male/female single double, or multiple buss connectors that made it pretty easy. There have been choices for a couple of them, like the double end that takes grounding male connectors from right and left turn signal, but that is done on Japanese bikes too, so I had no problem figuring that out. And although a couple of connections weren't a perfect color match, they were similar.

The hardest part was routing and tucking.

I have never seen black taped bare wires.

Have you followed them back to where they come from?
