TT250 Electronic speedo accuracy ?

Are the new electronic speedometers more accurate than the old cable version ? I rode past two different roadside radar screens and my electronic speedo was right on the money.

They might have made some improvements. How does its acciracy stack up ahainst GPS? Those roadside radars aren't always the most accurate things either.

If it's a 2018 TT250 it has the same digital cluster that us Hawk guys have installed. Pretty accurate.

Dan, I have an IPhone 5S with some sort of gps program on it. How do I get it to read mph ?

mjstef may be able to chime in on this. If you install his electronic cluster, as we did on our TT250, then set it for a 19"(?) front wheel, I think it's right on or seriously close.

It was a fight with the manufacturer to make mine accurate. They kept saying they build 10% off for "safety" They finally saw it my way. Check with your phones GPS....

My electronic speedo came with the bike (2018 TT250). How do I use my Iphone’s gps to show speed ? I’ve never done that.

I'm not a IPhone user but you should be able to download from your Apple app store. On the Android phones there are tons of free apps.

Depends on how much you want to spend.

Or you can simply get a Ram mount system with a bar clamp for around 50.

Likely you could find some cheaper options out there too.

I have a Ram X Grip and a socket arm that I can swap between bikes. I installed a steering stem mount kit on my VFR, and I have a bar clamp setup I used to use on my Goldwing that is now on my Hawk. I just transfer the X Grip between the two.
