Got a new job

Well, after two years of working where I work now, I got me a job going back offshore.

Got notified of the opening on saturday. Got called on sunday for a phone interview, but had just left the fair with the family, and couldn't talk. Called again monday, and after 10 minutes on the phone, got the job offer.

Not much more hourly pay, but the 14/14 schedule is what I really want. I can actually finish projects, Now.

Where you going to be working out of? I assume you will be working out in the Gulf of Mexico.

I'll be leaving from Lake Charles. So, 12 hours from me. When I worked for BP, I used to make the 11 hour drive to and from Houma every two weeks. Not doing that again. lol. I do wish I could bring my bike with me when I flew in, though. If I can find someone to store it, maybe I'll make the drive one time, so I can leave it there, and pick it up after flights. lol.

I would say you could store it in my shed but my shed is full. lol Though I could clear a spot out towards the back of the shed behind all my bikes. Lake Charles is a good 3 hour drive from Houma.

Lol. Thanks! It's probably a longer ride on the KPM, as I have a hard time getting it to get over 70 most days.

BP didn't allow us to ride motorcycles when were going to or leaving work. But, I didn't start riding until about 2 years before I left the company. And that was on my RC390. So I wouldn't have tried to make the ride from GA to LA anyway. Would have been fun for in town, though.

If things don't pan out as planned with the PT Cruiser, it may end up being the Louisiana beater. As long as I don't have to worry about rental cars or taxi/uber rides, I'll be happy.

What is it with some companies being prejudice towards motorcycles? I ride mine to work as often as the weather permits. I had to check on a couple of jobsites yesterday. I put in around 140 miles yesterday morning. I got paid to ride. What a job! The day they tell me I can't ride my bike is the day I walk out with a law suit to follow. It's called discrimination.
