Old and New

Just a pic I took of my Chevy and my old 1952 Ford F2 that I gave to my daughter and son in law.

Jake got the 3.54:1 Dana 70 installed and had a new drive shaft made for it. He also put in a dual master cylinder system. He still needs a bit of practice on adjusting the carbs and clutch, but he's moving right along on it

That F2 looks terrific; I doubt that I could have parted with it. It looks like Mater's brother.

It was hard to do, but I wanted my garage back.

What is the Dana 70 out of? Does it have Power Lok?

I did some brief reading on the Dana 70, and I was shocked to learn about the 10.5" ring gear! GM used the Dana 70 in Topkick trucks, so they must be brutally strong. Jake will never break it.

Your son-in-law is a lucky guy. I really like that '52 Ford F2.

I found the Dana at a swap meet many years ago and gave $75 for it. No idea what it was out of.

Spud-I had a lot of fun with it. With the old 4.86 rear axle in it, I could have 3/4 cord of wood in the back and start off in 3rd on a grade. Moved my oldest back and forth to college several times with it, too. The built six eats flat heads for lunch.
