MX100 Parts

Hello
My boyfriend just got this bike given to him today and it would be perfect for my son but we have no idea where to get parts for it.
We are from Canada and can do things online or whatever to get the parts. My boyfriend rides and knows lots about bikes .

Can someone send me links or where I might get these parts.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

Tell us which parts you need, and we can be of greater assistance.

For general info, the frame, tank, seat, forks and wheels are clones of a Yamaha PW80. The engine is a clone of a horizontal Honda motor, very similar to the XR50, but larger.

The best thing you can do for that bike is get rid of the awful exhaust pipe and install one that is meant for a four stroke engine. The Yamaha PW80 was a two-stroke, so they even copied the muffler design, despite connecting it to a four stroke engine. Something like this would be good: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Chinese-Dirt-...236747&vxp=mtr If you live anywhere near the US border, you can have it shipped to a border town for around $20.00.

Which Province are you in?

The boyfriend said he needs the TOP END KIT...gaskets, pistons, piston rings. He has changed all of that on his own bike so knows what he is doing but we need the parts.

We live in ONTARIO
Let me know where I could possibly find and get these parts.

TIA
Tracy

The 100cc version is relatively uncommon, but it doesn't matter. You could literally use a piston and a cylinder from a 50, 70, 90, 110 or even a 125, IIRC.

Here's something close to what you have now: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Cylinder-Pist...4e102c&vxp=mtr

I had one of those for my son, great bike. My son (and every kid in the neighborhood) rode it for several years before I sold it. On mine the gear pattern was four down, the issue was that after you were in fourth gear another shift down would put you back into first gear. Something to remember!
