Qlink Xf200 Sliders
[img]
[/img] |

I've seen sliders for sale, but I've never seen them installed. I'm guessing they're for hard cornering. Nice work. 8)

Sliders are cheap insurance for the worst case "laying the bike down" they would take the abuse a swingarm or fork would take, and are a hell of a lot cheaper to replace than the other parts.

You should market a bolt on Kit and Price it accordingly - It should fit both the XF and XP I presume - I would consider one if you do, but want all the details on your install etc....Keep me posted.

Doc - I believe they are scateboard wheels. The Hardened material (NOT SURE) That they are made of would take the brunt of any laying down of the bike - Hopefully saving furthur damage to other items. I actually bought some Bar End Slders, but probably won't use them becuase I am going to remount and put the bar end mirrors where they are supposed to go. Sliders make good insurance in the event of a crash. I hope it works for him. I would consider buying a bolt on kit for the "q" if available.

The only way I can see a bolt-on kit working is if the axles came with the kit. Otherwise, you'd need to drill and tap the holes yourself.
It's not that hard if you have access to a drill press.

I wonder how much strength is given up when you drill and tap the axles especially on the nut side? Is this a common way to do the sliders on a SM for the track?
google supermoto sliders and you will see all kinds of choices. |

The majority of bikes use hollow axles I think so it's not usually an issue.

As well, you wouldn't need to tap more than 1/2".
