Phone holder
Has anyone found a handle bar phone holder that they like? I have 79 miles on my TBR7 odometer and 78.6 miles on my trip odometer indicator. Let's face it. They can't both be right.
Also would like to check my GPS speed against speedo. Would even use the level app to check inclines and grades when I'm towing.

I personally prefer the ball stem mounts instead of using the handlebars. As far as phone mounts go, I have yet to really find one I have been 100% satisfied with.
I have been kind of curious to try this guy out though. It's more of a small bag with a phone pouch than an actual phone holder, so it can also be used to store small things. https://online-buy-now.com/universal...-phone-holder/

The TBR7 odometer does not register miles, it registers kilometers.
The factory has two decals for the speed indicator, miles or kilometers, but the odometer is always kilos.

Megadan, I ordered the one in the link you provided. I'll let you know what I think of it when it arrives and I get it mounted. I don't expect I'll be using the phone on the bike often so it will likely serve the purpose for me.
Krat, Thanks. When I get the phone mounted it will be easy to verify unit of measure and accuracy. I like the digital cluster but, in no hurry for that upgrade.

Just a word of caution: a cell phone mounted on a motorcycle will cause issues with the camera. Ask me how i know lol

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I love it. It holds any 'normal' sized phone (not phablets), is super easy to put the phone on and take it off, holds the phone securely, and doesn't use rubber bands that eventually age and break.

That's the kind I have on my scooter, but with a mirror base mount. Very secure but I think you could over tighten it and crush your phone.

this ebay listing shows the mounting system better than your link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/18376176291...BlBMUMD_1rSfYA It is cheap, though. And waterproof. And I'm able to run a charger cable out the side through the zipper so it can stay connected. |

Here's the one I've been using for over 2 years. It holds my phone in good and snug. It also has a USB port as well. It comes with two different style mounts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I only use it to hold one of my old phones for GPS, Action cam App and music. I currently have it installed on my KVS.

$16.99. Love it. Isolates the phone from the vibration of the bike and holds the phone exceptionally well.

I use a 3D printed case with an old phone. The phone can easily slide out of the case by removing the metal wire at the top. The case uses a GoPro style mount to attach it to the handlebars.
Here’s a video of it in action, also you can see the GPS diff against my odo, it’s around 4-7%. |
