The 250s are tough to find. No one has any right now so you will need to wait or get a used one.

You could wait till they trickle down from Canada, or get a relative to buy one and ship it down...They will not be rated for California, but I imagine it could be inspected and passed in most states .
Also I believe what they call 250 are more like a honda 230.

what about any other bikes? i actually found my shineray locally, owner couldnt get it registered and gave up but we figured it out, and where he ordered it from doesnt sell them any more. i'm hoping to find a good new bike 1100-1300 dollar range with disc's front and rear. i liked the Lifan 'cool boy' ones with the full gauge cluster and gear indicator but cant find them on ebay anymore, only ones i see are the Zongshen. or i'd like to find another shineray 200 if any one's seen them anywhere

How far are you from Atlanta? I still have my Lifan, and I'm willing to sell her...just haven't put any effort into it just yet. I have a (old - sorry mods ) thread in the for sale section. It's a 200, under 1000 km on the clock...tagged and ready to roll.

I was thinking I'd ask $1200 on CL whenever I got around to listing it, but I might be willing to meet up somewhere and negotiate a bit, if you're interested.

I understand. I'd rather sell it locally, quite frankly....but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Best of luck in your search.

By the way, I'm pretty sure I can drive all the way to DC in 10 hours. I'm not familiar with with any part of NC that would be that far away. Perhaps it's similar to that place in the "O Brother Where Art Thou" movie. A geographical oddity....2 weeks from everywhere! hehe...
