Tuning hawk 250 idle mixture

So how do you reach the idle adjustment while it's running without removing the carb or burning yourself? I can't seem to get it. I can't reach it with the tool I have, it's on the bottom of the carb.

I have the same issue no real good answer for yaI use a small screw driver.

The idle screw is on the side of the carb, the air / fuel mix screw is the one on the bottom side of the carb.

There are special angled drivers made for this. Cheaper ones are about 20 bucks abd may require a little file work to allow the end to fit. There are more expensive ones like motion pro's angled bit driver that will work better, but are 70 bucks.

i think harbor freight has what they call a thumb screw driver about 1/2" long should work.
