Shudder on takeoff

It seems my bike has developed a shudder on takeoff. When I go from a stop and let the clutch go slowly it takes off and then kinda jerks and goes smoothly from there on out. All other clutch operation is ok, but just the takeoffs, the sprocket is good and tight, and the chain is within spec

Do I need stronger clutch springs, adjustment?

How much free play do you have in the clutch handle? Where the clutch lever hits the mount/perch there should be between 1/8" to 1/4" free play depending on how you like the clutch to release.

no i dont. But i think if i allowed that much play, it wouldnt engage the clutch fully when pulled in as I had to get an aftermarket handle that doesnt allow as much pulling back

Check your rear sprocket bolts (14mm). I bet you will find some or all of them are loose. This makes EXACTLY the feeling you are describing.

Perhaps the swingarm bolt? A few members have had issues with broken swingarm bolts and/or lack of grease on the swingarm pivot shaft.

Is it the clutch or is the motor maybe stumbling? Just throwing it out there as an option.

I wonder what kind of oil it has in it, Might have one that is giving the wet clutch problems.
