Central NC noob questions

Been lurking and researching for awhile, hope some of you guys can help me with a few things. I'm a competent mechanic, but a brand new rider (I had a moped 30+ years ago, but im sure anything I knew is long forgotten). I think I've decided on the brozz, and will be placing my order soon. My questions are:

1. I've heard alot about carb adjustments and rejetting (less on the brozz than others) im in Central NC near the Durham / person county line, about 400 ft above sea level does anyone have jet size suggestions to start testing with?

2. Is anyone local to me that would like to meet and maybe show me some trails?

Thanks in advance gang! Everyone stay safe!!

Welcome aboard! Good choice on the Brozz. If you leave everything stock you should be okay. You will know once it's broke in if you need to up the main jets or not.

I'm definitely happy with the brozz. They have great support and every part on the bike is available at brozz250.com my only issue was tires. I spend a bunch of time off road. They are fine
on gravel / packed dirt. They are dangerous in loose or wet surfaces. I ordered the brozz recon tires with tubes for $115 and had them in 2 days. Replace the handle bars immediately if you can afford it. I got pro taper 7/8 bars on Amazon for like $50. If you drop the bike in the woods ( when you drop it actually) your bars will bend. All the bikes have thin handle bars.
As far as carb settings are concerned. You will be fine on the 105 it comes with. But after you got some seat time you could go to a 107.5 main with 1 washer under the jet needle to try as your first jet change. At sea level with an exhaust and air box mod I have a 38 pilot jet with 1 washer and a 115 main. I had a 120 but it was shooting flames while reving in neutral and while riding at wot it was choking out at 8k rpm the bike literally wouldn't rev any higher. So I put the 115 back in and it revs to 9k + . So when you do tinker with the carb. Small increases 107.5, 112.5 etc

I'm sorry, I thought I had said i was getting the reckon model in the first post. I plan on making good use of those extra knobby tires. Thanks for heads up on handlebars, I very much expect ill be introducing them to the ground at some point. I'm hoping not, but im expecting too ... lol.

If you don't mind telling me, hows longevity? How many miles on your bike / tires?

I take decent care of my stuff, but im not over the top about it.

I cant really help you on longevity but others on here have racked up plenty of miles on these honda clone engines. I only have a few hundred miles. But they are rough miles I use the bike. They are mostly trail miles. The build quality is good overall. The frame is solid which is important. Some of the component are soft Chinese recycled steel like the handle bars as I mentioned are thin. My bike lightly tipped over in a gravel driveway with it resting on the kickstand and the handlebar bent. The shift lever will bend if you bump something but it can be easily and affordably upgraded to a folding lever. The brakes lines on the brozz are braided and have good feel and good stopping power. They stop me fast enough I'm 5 11 230lbs. I found 1st gear is very short but switching to a 43t rear sprocket for me was perfect.
All in all it's a solid bike very affordable with the great customer support. I'm happy with my purchase. For $1950 it's a fair deal.
