Plug, surging and rev limit.. still stuck below 64

I bought a new plug just cuz and here is the old one.

Also, any chance my like clockwork 64 mph repeating surge is the bike hitting the rev limiter and that my cluster is just reading 500 or so rpm low so it looks like I’m only ever just touching 8,000. ? Coming home from Missouri this weekend I ended up on a really big downhill while using the 65mph highway. The Speedo crept up to 67 mph but no motor buck. The revs stayed around 7,500+ since the bike had all the gravity bomb one could ask for. Gracias!

Your plug looks like mine. I see in your sig that you have a racing CDI. Have you tried ordering an OEM CDI? I've never heard any good results on these racing CDI's on CG250's.

I don’t have the race cdi installed. I don’t trust myself to remember not to blow the bike up out on the highway so I only ever just test ran it to make sure it works.

I guess I should add I’m back to increasing the idle screw every couple days this past weekend. Routine has been clean the carb once a month and start over with the idle screw lol. I get 300 miles or so before it starts dying at lights etc again.
