The closer I got the old bumper to the scrap bin, the smaller it got.

The law of conservation of energy. The more you moved it, the more it fell apart, thus, the more energy you conserved in the process... That's how that universal Newtonian Law works, right?

New bumper looks great. The old bumper would have required decades of sanding before it was ready for paint.

Cheesy, do you commute year round in the Jeep or just winter months?

I technically don't have a commute anymore, except for going to and from O'hare, but that's pretty much year round.

What does the rest of the undercarriage look like? Rust converter or similar. https://www.gamut.com/c/paints-coati...oaAgm-EALw_wcB

You know how it goes, if you post we will come out of the woodwork.

It was something with this particular bumper. Front one is fine. Although there are blisters here and there in the paint, the underside is pretty decent for a vehicle that has not seen the inside of a garage in eight years.
Also, the WLAN card on my laptop took a dump yesterday, so unless I can figure out how to post pics from Flickr with my IPad, there won’t be any pics until I get the replacement card, on order, or a new laptop.

Well, crap. Good news, bad news, good news. Mrs. C and I strolled through Best Buy today and I spotted a Dell Inspirion 15/3000 for $219. That is the same one I have now but it has an AMD A6 processor and and a 500gb hard drive instead of an Intel Core i5 processor and 250gb hard drive. It was also $1000 less than I paid for mine back in 2014. So, I bought it.

Get it home, set it up, and connect to the home wi-fi. Except, like my current unit, it won't connect either. All the other wi-fi crap in the house works fine. Run all the diagnostics and get all the same answers I got yesterday. So I did the only thing I hadn't tried and that was to reset the router. Sunuva...it worked. For both.

So, the old windup Dell laptop in the garage is going to be retired. It runs Vista and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it and let the battery die. The current Inspirion 15 will take its' place. And the new one will occupy my lap while accumulating tato chip crumbs in the keyboard.

I know the feels. A couple months back, the charger crapped out on my lappy. I knew for about a year that the battery wouldn't hold a charge. While digging through the BS of the internet to find a charger for an 11 year old laptop, I found info that stated that bad batteries can cause chargers to over work themselves and burn out. It seems that while charging, the computer can call on the battery during times of high power requirements. If that is true, it would explain why my computer picked up a noticeable increase in speed and load times.

It was time for sure for the new laptop. Glad you got it figured out.

Another good one is when you update the bios on pc's and reboot and all hell breaks loose.

I am sick of pc, constant crap, virus threats, etc. This is why I use a android tablet for most browsing stuff and the pc for QuickBooks and a few things.. I don't even trust it for banking and perfer my bank app driven android on my phone (fingerprint enabled better security I think).
