Clutch cover oil leak
I developed a massive oil leak in my 2014 SSR 250 (XF250GY) coming from the top portion of the right-sided clutch cover yesterday. Bought new and never leaked a drop before. Seemed minor at first and then completely soaked my right shoe in oil. I inspected and changed the oil filter to no avail and after cleaning can see it seeping out of the clutch cover with some in the air filter box. I am wondering if it is developing excessive crankcase pressure and if anyone has had the same or similar problem. Thanks!

Suzuki clone
Yep, it's the Suzuki clone. Bought a cc gasket from my local dealer that I purchased that was double what I could have paid for as an aftermarket Suzuki.
Parts are outrageous. No damage to cover but one bolt was not as tight as the others-possible warpage.(?) I will pull apart to see and report back. |

Leak update
Got it fixed today. I did replace the clutch cover gasket but honestly think it was OK and not the actual source of the problem. Used some black RTV and retorqued the bolts to 98 inch lbs for insurance. I believe it must have been building up pressure somehow through the evap system which I dismantled. Sounds better and my ass dyno says I picked up HP. Thanks for your comments.
