Tao Tao 2013 125 won't start
My 125 won't start. It shut down while riding and functioning properly. When the key is on, the neutral light will come on, but pushing the starter button does nothing. I crossed off the two posts on the starter solenoid with a screwdriver, and it started. I assumed it was the starter solenoid and replaced it, but same issue. It will start when crossed off with the screwdriver.
With the electrical exposed, I have noticed a thin black wire coming from the ICU (ECM??) that's dead ends near the battery / solenoid area. No exposed wire at the end, so it might have broken off from somewhere, but I cannot see where. Wire is 8 1/2" long. Aside from the wire, can I bypass the starter button, or brake safety relay? Any ideas on how to diagnosis this issue? I did some searching in this forum, watched some youtube videos, but can't find any info close enough to my issue. Thanks |
