Mid 2000's Yamoto GY200 (new owner here)

Hello everyone, I recently purchased my china bike from a buddy who had it stored in his garage. He told me that he did not know the condition of it and did not even know if it would run. The bike had flat tires and it was dust covered but I gave him $200 bucks for it and brought it home. I emptied and flushed the old fuel, completed and oil change, aired up the tires and put a new battery in it. The dang thing fired right up and runs like a champ! I have ordered some replacement parts such as new brake and clutch handles, rear turn signal housing but it still needs a few things. I joined this forum to be a part of this huge network of knowledge. I only need a couple more parts to complete the restoration and I will then attempt to get it registered in my state. I mainly joined this forum to get info on where to order parts and get suggestions on different sprockets for various speeds.

Post up some pics! It'll be easier to help you source parts if we can see it, as mid 2000s anything Chinese was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of components.

Welcome! Your GY is typical of what this forum was built on in the mid-2000's. Parts will be easy to find. As a point of trivia, your frame is a copy of an early '80's XR200 (not the R version), with a monoshock mounting point welded to the frame.
