G'day from Cebu Philippines

Hey folks,

new member - Aussie guy retired in S.E. Asia.

During lockdowns here last year I managed to pick up a RUSI Classic 250 (or an RC250 as mostly know here). Given the ongoing on/off restrictions I haven't had a chance to ride it or mod it much as yet.

Not sure if this model is known much to you guys - basically this RUSI is from Chongqing YINGANG. It's also sold in Europe as a PEDA Cafe Racer and GPX in Thailand. It uses the Loncin RE250 - and is pretty good value for money here.

I've ordered a bigger cam and better carb and clutch for it - and will get those on it with a port'n'polish soon.

Seems like half the parts are interchangeable with a Honda TMX125 - the RE250 - is that confirmed as a Honda CRF230 clone ???

Here - these are a popular base model to mod - many become scramblers, brats and even little bobbers.

Cheers

Sure - if you get out of the cities ....and look out for stray dogs, cats, kids, cows, goats .... and potholes that would swallow a Cadillac.

But really the main issue is buses coming around the blind bend ahead of you - on your side of the road

It's the same driving a car here - so bikes are no worse, just more fun

cheers
