Pitster Pro XTR250 full review

I've been waiting to get enough time with the bike to form some opinions..

Thx Jerry, that's nice of you to say I don't really try too hard with them. Making videos is more of a hobby and a way to stay in touch with the community of riders and vlogers I seemed to have fallen in with
This one I did try to be more informative from the riders perspective for any prospective buyers that might be looking for info on the bike.

That was a great riders review. I would suggest checking that valve adjustment sooner rather than later. They tend to tighten up rather quickly on the initial run. I set my bike at mile zero at .003" and at my 200 mile oil change the valves were almost tight again.

As for your power complaint, have you done any jetting with the carb?

These are the best videos. Real world information and not some made up stuff or "Look I can do a wheelie"

I'm due for an oil change...on your advice I'll get in and do the valve check.

I haven't done a thing to the bike performance wise....For a few reasons; 1. I promised myself I wouldn't start dumping money into this bike(I know carbs and jets are cheap enough, but they start opening doors.... ) 2. This engine doesn't have much more to give, I'll get very little return for any work & money I put into "performance" ..Its designed for low and easy maintenance, not power. 3. As much as I wish it could loft the front wheel on command, its really not necessary. At my skill level a no-drama, forgiving engine is probably a good idea. Riding in the tight rocky terrain we have around here the XTR will get me to dangerous enough speeds as it is...So all this combined makes want to leave it alone.
