PZ30B width and height

107.74mm left side choke mounting bracket bolt to side of throttle cable bracket. 104.51 mm bracket to bracket less the bolt head. It can be taken to 98.11 mm by cutting off the side of the accelerator bracket with a hack saw and depending on obstacles to the side bolt head you could get to around 94mm but now it is about what is in the way where. The choke lever sticks out a little more I am not counting. Top of the slide housing to bottom of the accelerator pump chamber is 140.39mm. The bracket is usually the problem, it was that close on my Magician but grinding the frame is not an option I was comfortable to undertake.

thankyou mate! are these the same thing (except for the included gas cable in the second link= better deal?)?

2 questions:

do i need that fancy double gas cable as pictured in the second add?
(i have a 1980 XT250 that has the pumper but there is not a separate cable for it)

if i'm forced due frame member in the way, can i remove the accelerator thing from the right side of the carb and use it still?

You do need a double cable. One to work the slide, the other the pumper. To make best use of it you need a quarter turn throttle.

The carb in the first pix has a modified pumper bracket so it may fit a little tighter. If you look at the second carb you can see that U shaped bracket piece on the outside that would need to be cut off if it rubs. You can use it without the pumper cable attached but the bracket may still interfere but you could remove the bracket completely.

Here is everything you wanted to know about a pumper.

You can use the PZ30B pumper carb without the actuator cam assembly on a single throttle cable. It just won't squirt additional fuel.

Had to do it myself as it fouled on my XL185 frame. could make it fit with a custom intake manifold, but I am not at that stage of the project to bother right now.

That is not a PWK carburetor manufactured by NIBBI, it is a inexpensive Chinese copy of the Japanese PWK design. NIBBI carburetors run in the 80 to $100 range but are made in China.

All of these inexpensive amazon, ebay, aliexpress carburetors are copied designs and because they are inexpensively manufactured they may not work well do to quality control or a poor manufacture. This is true for all of them. I have two PZ30B one works good the other not. You always take a gamble when you buy any of them but some have fewer problems like the PZ30 and VM26 series.

I bought 3 inexpensive PWK carburetors and not one of them could I get to tune. They looked fantastic they just would not meter fuel. I bought a $90 PWK and it tuned in a few minutes. If you want a PWK I recommend spend some money and get a good one. You can gamble or you could save up for it.
