CSC tt250 top speed with 45T sprocket. GPS confirmed

Today I installed a 45T sprocket ( stock is 50T) and a D.I.D. o-ring chain on my 2019 CSC TT250. I purchased the sprocket from CSC and it came with the correct spacers. The install went smooth and I didnt have to shorten the chain. This mod along with the ebay crf 230f exhaust and mikuni replica carb ( 115 main jet, 27.5 pilot and mixture screw 1 3/4 turns out, foam filter) has really helped the bike become a more road friendly machine. Cruises nicely at 55mph now. Before the engine was pretty much maxed out power wise and buzzy at this speed. Still plenty of power to climb hills in 5th gear also. Max speed today was 68mph. GPS confirmed.

Hmm, I can’t get anywhere close to that. Fully modded and the top speed dropped significantly from stock lol.

Good job getting everything together and making the magic happen!

i have the 47 tooth and see on average the same mph but i have gotten it up to 72mph at 8.5k rpms alot of times 75 if im drafting a car and im not a light rider i weigh exactly 200lbs
try to really dial in your jetting im guessing your still a little lean the amazon exhaust likes to break in and burn out the packing after a while and will lean the bike again if you havent already repack it with some high quality exhaust packing i used moose pack that also helped quiet it and gain some top end

Im 170lbs and Im at 160 ft above sea level. 68mph was all she had on a flat stretch! I think i have the jetting dialed in for now. I installed a genuine Mikuni VM28 pilot in my Mikuni replica. The pilot jet that came in was bottoming out in the carb and not allowing full fuel flow at 0-1/4 throttle. Hard to explain but i could tell it wasnt right when i pulled the pilot jet out. There was a dead spot with quick acceleration and now that is gone with the new pilot jet. Genuine Mikuni jets are the way to go.
Thanks for the repack info. Its definitely been a learning curve getting this thing dialed in. My biggest concern is being able to run with 55-60 mph traffic and I have accomplished that without ringing this little bike out. Oh and i have yet to hit 8.5k rpm! Still a little shy about max rpm b/c its new.

understandable take it easy on the bike till its got a good 1000 miles under its belt csc said brake in time is 500 but i waited till 1000 miles before i started ringing its neck a bit up to 3000 miles now with no major issues really im at 630ft above sea level and run a 120 main jet in my mikuni clone
