totally impressed

so far, i have been going easy on my little china girl. due to my riding inexperience, and the fact that i did the rebuild myself...

anyway, i came to a double red/black diamond trail today on the hatfield mccoy trails (trail #90) and decided to give it a try, see what she really had under that cowl... how far up will it go???

to be honest, i didn't expect to make it all the way to the top of this beast. i have seen bikes much bigger than mine fall flat on it, i literally "knew" i was going to turn around somewhere on the hill.

completely blew me away, it ate that trail like popcorn. slinging mud and rocks all the way up. i just kept thinking "i love this thing!!!"

my only wish, is that a honda owner had seen it... lol

I like your mods Leo and the color scheme looks good. Question; what is the black box on the clutch lever? It looks like a hydraulic clutch set up.

I have seen very few admit it, but people with large bikes often wish they had a small bike on many of the tighter trails. It seems to be kind of the same mentality that a bike has to be able to cruise at 85+ mph all day to maintain itself on interstates; there are many circumstances in which one does not need to take an interstate in the first place, or ride a particular trail with a large bike. You have just proved to yourself and us the latter.

thank you.
it's just a solar charger, i use it to charge my phone when it's in the cradle. extra power for maps, spedo, gps, music... that sort of thing.

keeps me from using the main battery for stupid stuff. it doesn't need the engine running to work, and it recharges itself.

how do you post map links?

i have the gps coordinates handy...
37°39'32.14"N 82°12'57.48"W
that's dead center of trail #90. it's about 1 mile from bottom to top and around 900 feet up. the pic i took with the "danger" sign was right at the peak, where the 4 trail intersection is.

if you use google earth, go back to the 11-8-13 image. it was taken in fall, you can see the trail much better.
