Rear shock help **** Recognize this ?

So the parts bike I got from a local guy had this shock mounted. He mostly commuted on this bike. It was a Hawk 250, circa 2020.I think. does anyone recognize it? He claimed it was from a NINJA 250, and so I assume he read about its compatabilty some where and bought this online. Would these be an upgarde for my 250 DLX? It would require some spacers mods but no real trouble to do.....
