A pushrod CG with a turbo! Love it! It's like an exercise in contradiction.

Weld, I'll remind you that the Honda CX650 Turbo was a pushrod engine.
If you're running a pump (turbo/supercharger) high rpm is not essential, just a good, stout crank assembly to withstand possible higher combustion force.

I agree. The difference with a CG is that it has only one cam lobe, so neither event can be optimized.

guys you know I'v been putting parts together to do this. Weld is right useless on cg with one lobe controlling intake and exhuast. Thats why Im looking at doing it to my 200r. The ecotrons fuel injection has all tuning already set up for turbo. Also a guy on thumppr talk did it to a 150cc lifan he got 24psi stuck into it before it blew. So 20 should be fine. You can even advance/retard the timing with this system and you can control it with a app on your phone. I will buy it when I swap in the built 200r in the lifan .

Yanmar? On a 200cc engine how much turbo can it really push.
