GREAT ride today with Roger!
Winter really is a prime dirt bike season on the local trails. The dust is down and the temps are cool and the bikes just love it.
Roger and his KLX in repose with a setting sun as the backdrop by the Mighty Columbia River. I love The Dirt Rat 2. The new muffler is excellent. Mid 50's today! That's pretty toasty for late December in The Great Frozen Desert. :P My bestest buddy. The ascent to this apex was a tough one. Rocky and steep. A little scary 8O . Roger came up the easier way. Smart. Roger and the KLX digging in on a climb. I had to drill a different hole to mount the 1986 model muffler. And construct this little bracket. I transfered the gasket from the old to the new muffler and she's good to go! Hope you all enjoyed coming along on our little local ride.

We won't see 50 degrees Fahrenheit for months, Brother Bill. :( Thanks for posting the nice photos, and allowing us to ride vicariously with you and Roger.

That's a good looking little trailer.

I love the little trailer. It only weighs maybe 200 pounds and is easy to move by hand and put in the shed when not in use. It rolls easy, pulls straight and is easy to load and unload. It was a good Craigslist investment for sure!
It's supposed to be in the 60's today, well above normal, but very windy and I'm working anyways.

That is such a sweet looking bike. I recently heard a tip about using a small length of 2x4 between the top of the front tire and the underside of the fender, to preclude the need to compress the suspension so far while on the trailer. Haven't yet tried it.

Thanks for the tip and the compliment, Weld. I've not been concerned about compressing the front suspension. Should I be?
The only thing the Dirt Rat 2 needs to make it prettier at this point is a license plate.

Don't know, but it can't hurt to avoid compressing the shocks so far. I agree on the plate.
