Per request My 1944 Willys MB WW2 jeep

Got rid of the trailer still have the semi auto 1919A4 Gun I built,

I will have to dig around and see what I have for before pics. I have over 350 hours into it, (and under 6K in $ for parts)
It was a single owner from the army when I got it, the jeep was used as a plow vehicle, the trans had been swapped out to a stronger T90 Which I pulled out and swapped in the correct T84 and Tcase. it is the original Body, Frame,engine and drivetrain. (which is very unusual for the rust belt here in the northeast. )

I'm in love! Wonderful restoration! My dream vehicle! Great pictures too.

BTW I'm also a military small arms collector and gunsmith too... I'd love a 1919. You're living the dream!

You sold the trailer? Didn't those jeep trailers float too? Very well designed.

Gun stuff is cool too, but being from Canada were only allowed to have sticks here (and not pointy ones!) :(

I have VERY limited storage and the trailer was actually Korean war vintage So I sold to pay for some other toys.
The 1919a4 is actually a hoot to shoot off of the jeep.
Mass is strict with gun laws but I made sure it and I are 100% legal.
I am a half assed gunsmith and machinist. Have a small mill and bigger lathe.
the M series trailers did float, no tailgate and drains tat sealed up. it was so you could ford rivers without the contents getting wet. in practice it was often not.
I was in the Army when we used m151 jeeps. (just before the Humvees came in)

I did the restoration in my 1 car garage. I hope to expand the shop in the next year or so. (and I want a Motorcycle lift at the least. I am too broken down to be bending over all the time. )

As for the 1919a4 Doc Build one! if you can smash rivets you can. ( just farm out the machine work. ) They are expensive to shoot as the surplus 7.62 has dried up.

I do my own reloading, and I'm set up with two presses, including a sweet RCBS progressive so the ammo is not too costly, but nowadays even the components are pricey!

I still have my 7.62x51 components. Sold off my old Lee progressive last year. I just wasn't using it and it had some issues (mostly with the powder system) But I don't get time to shoot much any more so I have been reducing my collection. I had 2 1919a4's at one point. I built both, and did the machine work on the internals for the 2nd one.

Time give me more time to do the things I love to Eh?
I just got back into riding this year after a 15 year layoff due to back surgery, said the heck with it I can cut cord wood I can ride again. been having a ball. (used to race MX and ATC's. and rode for over 20 years. )

You're allowed to have sticks? In BC, we need a permit to carry a whistle.
