UM Renegade ZS169FML

I bought a 2004 UM Renegade ZS169FML for 250.00. It has only 1100 miles on it. No compression. Turned out someone did it's initial service replaced the spark plug with the wrong one. It was too long. Punched a hole in the piston, broke the intake valve and drove it like a nail thru the top of the cylinder head. I cannot find a piston or cylinder head for it. I'll start a new thread on it,, but if you know of a source for said parts please let me know.

I also encourage you to find the official Chinese designation for your motorcycle, which might be inscribed on the VIN plate. For example, my Zongshen Sierra 200 is officially designated as a ZS200GY-2, or an LZX200GY-2. Once you know the official designation, you might be able to find parts for you bike on the Taobao website.

After looking at the manual for the Renegade, it shows a pushrod engine. Mine is an OHC oil cooled engine. I called MRP and was interrupted when I tried to explain this, and was told to have my mechanic at the dealer identify the part and order it from them. No bad thoughts to the owner of MRP, I imagine he gets too many calls from DIYers like me wasting his time. They are after all a wholesaler. I have two worries, I am the mechanic, and the manual shows a pushrod head. My other concern is I don't trust the local China dealers. They've all received some pretty bad reviews. I have seen their work, not very good. Retired in Georgia (I love it here) , this is when I miss California. For those thinking the engine was replaced, prior, it is chromed in all the right paces to match the bike. Both bike and engine look like they have 1150 miles, almost new. The engine is stamped ZS169FML, when doing research on the engine, it is shown as a pushrod, and/or OHC ,sometimes referred to as a 250cc. The jug is stamped 198cc. The cylinder measures 69mm. The piston is 68.5mm. I'll research Taobao for the parts, if not looks like I'll transplant the Baja 167fMM 250cc engine into the Renegade. Just hate to waste a low mileage, great looking engine.

That's a counter-balanced motor as well. May we see the left side of the engine?

The pic posted is not my bike. I posted to illustrate the bike. Interestingly enough, this engine is Not the same. I'll post photos of my engine. Sorry for the confusion.
