Actual seat height for RX3?

I was doing some more research on the bike and it looks like the last question i have is what the actual seat height is. A lot of sources seem to quote 31.3" but that was when there was a 15" wheel still coming standard. Now with the standard 17" rear, I'm wondering if the seat height has gone up much higher. Also curious how much more a 19" front would raise it.

I'm very close to pre-ordering a 2016, but just making sure I'm 100% sure what I'm getting into.

The seat height is 31.3 inches. The 17-inch rear wheel and tire is actually very slightly smaller in diameter than the Asian-configuration 15-inch diameter wheel and tire due to the 17-inch rear tire's smaller sidewall.

I measured the seat height on my RX3 with a level across the seat at its lowest point.

It was 32".

I didn't reply earlier because I knew someone had actually measured the saddle height. Thanks for checking in, JB.

That was the seat height on my stock RX3.

I have installed a lowering link, but haven't measured the actual new height.

I'm away from home for the holidays. Will be able to measure again next week.

The rider "sag" is only 3/4" (180#). I think I need to play with the rear shock preload when I have the bike apart for the valve check. That may affect the seat height.

I haven't measured the saddle height on my bike, because it doesn't cause me any problems. After you adjust the spring preload on the shock, it will affect saddle height.

I think someone else here has measured the saddle height, both with the stock saddle, and one of the aftermarket saddles.

I had the opportunity to remeasure the seat height with the lowering link installed:

Seat Concepts Narrow Seat

Does anyone have any experience with how much additional reach would be provided with the Seat Concepts Narrow seat? Ordered one and I have a 29" inseam - hoping it will do the trick as 32" standard will be tough for me to get the balls of my feet down.

I have a TMEC 200 and my seat is 33.5". I am 5'7" and about 30" inseam, and can get both feet down, although not completely flat-footed. Granted the CSC bike might be a little larger, but I am guessing the RX3 will be fine for you.

Paging Woodlandsprite, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

I think she may have some good input for you, Dualsport.

Thank you Jay - Woodland Sprite is a former TWF (TwoWheelFemales) member - we were on the forum together for several years prior to it shutting down this past summer. Will be great to get her impressions of the bike!

I have/had the narrow seat (it is currently back at CSC being re-covered).

I didn't find it any lower than the stock seat...but maybe more comfortable....but they have had it so long, I have forgotten what it felt like.

Not sure the narrow seat will help much. Detours has one and he was kind enough to let me test sit on his motorcycle. I didn't notice much if any difference. I have the lowering link, a shaved down stock seat, and a 29" inseam...can barely get the balls of my feet on the ground.
