Thumbs Up Hawk rear brake switch

Just wanted to share this, I found a brake switch for the rear brake light that works. The oem switch has some issues like not working consistently. Best of all no soldering, just depin connector. It's a little tricky getting the threads started because the rubber boot on top hits the frame so be careful not to cross thread.

Or just use a good quality switch like one from Goodridge. I use this one, never had an issue. https://www.amazon.com/Goodridge-Ban.../dp/B000GTV0RC

I had that exact banjo switch on my 75 Goldwing for 6 years without leak or failure.

Yes, it does ideally require soldering. I splice the original brake switch harness into this harness, solder and shrink wrap then tape and loom it. Gives a nice long bit of wiring to the connector to route as you need and you can shorten it up as needed before finally soldering the wires together.
