Stranded !!! Please help.

Out in the woods trail riding and the lights went out. I have no dash lights , no headlights, and the horn doesn't work. I checked the fuse by the battery and it's not blown. Any ideas. I'm way back in the woods by myself and my flashlights batteries are getting weak. Time just got away from me.

Engine Running or not?

If it's still running check all your connections. Maybe a loose bullet connector. Check your grounds and make sure they are tight. Check the battery cables are tight.

Thanks for the fast response. It is running fine. The turn signals and brake lights work. Just no headlights or horn. Checked all the grounds that I can find. I have taken the headlight off and went through all connections disconnecting and reconnecting. Still nothing. It's getting cold up here.

Right before the lights went out it blinked on and off 3-4 times.

Going to try and make it home using the light off my turn signals. Flashlight went dead. About 1.5 miles away from the house.

The bulb may have blown then. Yikes. Might be a tuff ride out.

I know it's too late now, but a headlamp or even a good led flashlight in your pack is always a good idea. I've ridden out a few times on just a headlamp. A lot slower, but better than nothing.

Moe - Shoot a quick post out when you get home and let us know you made it safe and sound. Once you're home, we'd like to hear about what went wrong and what the fix is/was. Keep us posted!

Made it home. Thanks for being there when I needed it. I'm gonna get to work on it first thing in the morning. I'll let you know what I find out. Has to be a loose wire somewhere. I'm frozen lol. Gonna take a few shots of good Ole kentucky bourbon and kick back.

Doh! Problem Solved

Once again I want to thank you guys for answering the call for help when it was really needed. The problem ended up being the connector for the headlight switch. One of the prongs in the connector was bent. Not letting it make contact. Not gonna lie this took me 2 hours to find lol. I went through the whole harness looking for the problem. The connector should of been the first place I looked. On the bright side I now know the entire lay out of the harness.
