Suggestion... if your worried about parts stay away from them. Get a better off-brand, pay a little more and get the parts you need. If/when you need them.

Suggestions:

Crossrunner: http://www.crossrunner.net/

BlueRay: http://www.blueraymotors.com/

Neither sell on line but both have parts and warranty.

Both companies also Meet The SVIA & Federal Safety Standards.

I've seen an 06 honda 300ex on EBAY brand new at a dealer (in either OH,PA,NY states not sure which now) for a price of $2495 plus dealer fee's of about $600.($3088 total at buy-it-now price)

The 300ex is not the biggest quad out there and is in fact considered a beginner quad by todays standards but it has been around for many years and is a good solid quad that has many parts and accessories out there for it as well as countless shops capable of working on it if need be.

Ohh wait here it is EBAY-06 300ex BRAND NEW in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
A few bids on it but you could still swoop in and get it for the very reasonable buy-it-now price.

There are other brand new, name brand quads out there also that are a year or two old that dealers are wanting to move at great prices.

Personnally I would have bought this quad if I could have but things being what they are it just isnt going to happen right now but there will be others.

I'll vouch for the 300ex. I purchased a '98 new and didn't sell until last year. Excellent machine. As for a beginner bike, most guys I know riding 600cc+ auto quads couldn't handle the clutch (not to mention reverse :wink on the 300ex.

It is smallish by today's standards but a great machine.

I've had a Roketa ATV-02 for a couple of years. It is a 250 utility ATV. Ordered parts directly from Roketa's website a couple of times and they arrived within a week. Not sure about the availability of parts for the 300, but most of the 250 Chinese parts are pretty generic and can be purchased from number of suppliers.

If I remember correctly, someone posted a review of the Roketa 300 several months back. A search of this forum should find it.

I've had good luck with my Roketa. It's taken quite a beating and still runs great. Most of the problems I've had were self inflicted, such as broken plastic, clutch handle, etc. due to bouncing off trees or rolling it. Did have a clutch go bad, but a lot of people riding it are not very good with a manual clutch and tend to ride it excessively on hills. It is halfway through its second set of tires (swamplites), so it has seen a lot of use.

The review of the 300 was actually on a different forum.
