110cc hummer, how many boxes??????

Hi all, new member here.

I just bought my daughter a GEO hummer 110cc.

Only one box arrived, with only the atv inside.

No tires, battery, seat, shocks, handle bar clamps, or racks. Did these items come in the same box???

I also bought the remote "off/on", and brake upgrade.

Now, there are two more boxes in transit, but I was under the impression that the atv and tires come in just two boxes.

Any comments, as I would like to know so that I can start the phone calls and e-mails early if you think that I may an atv that will never run.

Floyd.

Odd you would only get one box.

The ATV's usually come in two boxes. The crate with the main body, then a smaller box with the wheels and parts like the battery and fasteners etc.

The third box you're mentioning is probably the stop/start switch, as it would be an add on to the order and would come in a seperate box.

If you know the other boxes are in transit, I expect that is the rest of your order. I'm suprised it didn't come together, but that's probably a shipping company problem more than a Gio problem.

Feel free to stay on board the forums and share your experiences with us. Lots of help here on the Gio's!

This will show you what the boxes have inside them. This is for a 50cc unit, but yours will be very similar. I *think* you might need to install the shocks on the hummer but not sure..

Welcome! I'm sure that your daughter will love her new quad.

Well thanks guys, but it looks like I won't be using this thing any time soon.

Contacted Gio they are not returning, it says on my account that the boxes were shipped.

UPS says that they only picked up one box.

I regret buying from GIO now. There was a guy in Calgary selling a very similar product for about $100 more. Could have driven there and back by now.

Swell.

That doesn't make much sense. You said in your initial post there were two more boxes in transit? How did this change one day later? I'd be making a lot of noise to UPS and Gio to get it sorted.

In all fairness, I've bought 4 Gio quads and a boat load of parts, and never once had an issue.

Keep the faith and stay on it!

It's very bizzare, my account lists all the boxes and states "order shipped and closed".

???????????

I misread the UPS tracker, it has received the info, but no boxes.

Luck of the draw I guess.

What did you mean when you said "Gio not returning"?

It sounds like someone, somewhere f'd up, but you need your wheels and parts and if you keep your cool and talk nice to people about your problem, they'll get you sorted.

Ya, I've sent a couple of e-mails and no reply.

They don't answer the phone either???????

Does anyone know the physical address of these jokers?

Or a personal cell phone?

Did you pay with a credit card? If so call your company today, you might have a recourse.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. :?

FWIW, amongst people on the forum here, no one was ever significantly screwed. In all cases I recall, such issues were semi-easily resolved.

I've quite frankly never tried to call them. You need to give him some time to answer his email, he usually is quite prompt. (within 24 hours)

I think they have staffing troubles in the shipping department. Someone dropped the ball, but I'm sure you'll get it sorted. I think it's a bit early to fly off the handle. Mistakes happen.

..and I say this because Gio is by no means an unknown entity in the forums here.. there are a lot of Gio owners here and he sponsors the site, so it's not like nobody has heard of them before and you're the test guinea pig buyer.

That's not to say there haven't been some 'disagreements' on some things.

I understand what you're saying.

I will wait patiently.

E-mailed again using the "contact us".

I'm hoping there is a reply. I e-mailed using the address that my reciept came from as well.

Cheers.

I've had to wait a day or two for a reply from John, but he always did reply. He is very professional and I am sure he will help you straighten this out. I have had more problems with UPS than I have had with GIO.

Indeed this sounds like a UPS problem.

On "MY GIO" under your order you should see your 3 UPS tracking #'s, what is the status of each of them? ( you main box should be "delivered" as you already have it), what is the status on the other 2.
