QLink XP & XF 200 Models ..... HP Tuning.... Tips Ple
I am a dealer in Sacramento CA that sells the QLink 200 Models. I have seen some great stuff on how to get the most out of these motors.... but want to see more.
There was a guy with a propper Dyno and got 20+ hp out of a XF200. There was a bit of info, but not all. I would like to see a full breakdown of what has been found so far to acheive this number. Here is what I have seen so far..... Slip on FMF Turbin Core Muffler.... Problem: For What Year, Make, Model, and what is the part number? Was this a direct bolt on, or did you need to make any cuts or welds? Stock air box was just as good as any aftermarket filter systme. OK... that's easy to follow. Drop the carb needle to the lowest slot: This gets confusing to many.... Drop the needle, or the clip? I assume you mean put the clip on the lowest ring of 5 possible..... bringing the needle up higher? Use a 127.5 Main Jet: This is easy.... but how about the Idle Jet? If this is not also enlarged, often there is a imballance, and it will idle not so well.... or have a crummy transition from low to high RPMs.... I just want to be sure we are all on the exact page. On 200cc engines, I usualy use a 42-45 idle jet.... So I am hoping to get the exact numbers. Air Injection: Did you take it off? Was there anything else you did to this motor to get 20+ out of it? Does any one else have any sugestions? Thanks.... oug [img][/img]

Well hey there, Doug!
Hey all.....this is my dealer I've mentioned. Straight shooter, has always had what I've needed including a CDI tester and I don't think he actually, ever goes home. Doug, I can say that the TC II is a slip on. It comes in two opening sizes for both the pipe dimensions, so order the right one. If you don't have to do a lot of bending, like I did on my X-Moto, it clamps right on. Sounds good too. I believe that you drop the needle CLIP to the lowest spot, lifting the needle out of the bore....would be my guess, like on my X-Moto. Of course, the air injection here in the PRK is required but I'd block it off after you switch out the cat and muffler. I would imagnie it would probably make the packing in the TCII have a short life span by injecting fresh O2 and running it a lot hotter.

Good idea to get the XP/XF tuning information in one place. I'll contribute when I get some valid information. |

After a little trimming, the FMF Universal Spark Arrestor, and its supplied midpipe, will fit the Zongshen 200GY-2 motorcycle. However, unlike the Zong, the QLink bikes require a special midpipe, other than the one supplied with the FMF silencer.

The Lexx muffler looks great on your XF200! Did you have any problems mating the midpipe to the exhaust header?

Your whole bike looks great! I like how the flash off of the reflector makes a BLING sound.

You may want to try the brake cleaner trick on the QLink logo on the seat since the bike is otherwise devoid of decals.

Doc, was there any hint of discoloration of the seat upon using brake cleaner? Did you spray it on a cloth and then just wipe the seat logo? Did you follow it with anything?

I used carb cleaner because it was closest and I think a little milder than brake cleaner. A spray on a clean rag, a test on an unseen area, and just wiped the writing off. About 15 seconds per side. The vinyl looks 100% perfect. No followup, other than riding it!
