Hello and thank you for all the info!

I just realized that I'd never posted in this area, so here I am!

My professional background is as an automotive mechanic and instructor, although that has shifted somewhat due to physical concerns. I'm still in the automotive industry, but in a different capacity.

I've been riding all kinds of motorcycles and snowmobiles since I was a kid. The last several years have slowed me down a lot with arthritis so I wasn't nearly so active in those pursuits as I had been and had sold off my rolling stock thinking that riding and wrenching on things just wasn't in the cards for me any more. After getting the arthritis under better control, the bike bug bit me again and I decided to dip my toes back into the water. That led me to looking for bikes and getting some serious sticker shock. The Chinese bikes popped up in my searches, one thing led to another, I started looking around here, and then this past February I decided to go ahead and get a CSC TT250 to tinker with, ride on the street and explore some of the tamer trails.

I sure do appreciate all the information on the bikes here. It's been a great help. I'll try to do what I can to share my projects and experiences while I get back into having fun with a motorcycle. For what it's worth, like it seems is the case with more than a few of the members here, I think I enjoy the tinkering almost as much, or maybe even more, than the riding. I do like to keep myself busy.
