I am impressed with the Lifan KPR 200....

I am highly impressed with this bike. I purchased my 2021 Lifan KPR 200 at the end of May 2022. Riding season in Michigan for an old fart like me is from May to October. So counting up the months ridden so far (2022 + 2023) comes to 7 months. Well....

The KPR rolled over 10,000 miles today.

All it has needed so far is the valves adjusted along with oil changes every 3000 miles (first change immediately to get rid of the shipping oil) plus a new rear tire. The only real problem was the engine ran poorly for a little while until I found a corroded battery post connection.

And I ride the snot out of it too.

That is good to know as far as longevity goes. I have been following your interesting riding places thread above, so I know you give it some love!

Do you take it to a dealer for the valves, or is there a video on how to do it yourself?

I owe Herbie's Garage video for making the valve adjusting procedure so easy to understand and to do.

I forgot you are one of the more knowledgeable KPR/KP experts around here with your own video series. Not to mention you are off and running with your video series on the SS3 aka KPMini. How many miles have you got on your odometer, Herbie?

I'm far from an expert but appreciate the thought
I'm ashamed to say I only have 3200 miles on the KPR, I just don't get enough time to ride like I would like to. Bikenut is killing it on his bike!
I have about 545 miles on the mini. I just got back from camping and put about 100 miles on it at the area around the campground

Tripped over my cat the other day and it took this long.....

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... thud.

Ok, I'm just being an intelligent rectum.

I haven't been on a bike road trip in years. My iron butt has aged into a cracked porcelain relic. But even though my KPR is comfy for day rides I wouldn't take it on a multi day several hundred or even thousand mile trip. But then I wouldn't take a long trip on any motorcycle since at my age I no longer get excited in straying too far from my favorite chair and snacks.

But I too would like to know how far you young'uns have ridden on a trip.
