Valve Ticking/Adjustment Clearance Hawk

Ive heard everything this side of the Mississippi on the correct valve clearance for the Hawk 250. Mine came with zero clearance on the intake and exhaust so I adjusted them today after about 500 miles to .006 on the intake and .007 for exhaust. The bike starts up better than ever but the ticking noise is pretty loud. Ive heard that you want some ticking, but I guess how much is too much? Very arbitrary without a decimal meter and legitimate science, now that Ive made this question as complicated as possible, what do yall's adjusted valves sounds like and is the sound prevalent even when accelerating and/or at higher RPMs?
