Hawk front tire wear question

I have about 2500 miles on my Hawk with factory tires and tubes.

On the front tire, the knobs are wearing at a fairly steep angle. The back of the knobs are worn almost completely and the front of the knobs are almost untouched.

I ride mostly only a few miles to work and back, so 98% on-road.

Any insights?
