Well, my doctors have spoken again. Only 3 wheels for me from now on. Husqvarna was also recently sold to KTM. The Terra will do ably be a one model year only bike just like the TE630. I have no interest in that, so the Terra will not be my next bike after all. These two factors have killed the TR for me. Easy come, easy go!

The story goes......
KTM have not bought Husky....
The CEO of KTM has bought it though his own private investment
company...

Sorry to hear that, Sam. That said, there are some interesting option in trikes, especially for a keen enthusiast like yourself. I'd consider bulding a reverse dual sport trike if it was me. You could start with a China atv, graft on the rear section of a China DS and start fabricating. It could be epic.

Another cool option is a CJ750. I want one bad.

I'm sorry to hear your doctor's report, Sam. However, now might be the time to start thinking about a Can-Am Spyder.

Sorry to hear about the doctor's report also. It happens to all of us, could be worse though.

I like the CJ idea . I am also partial to Urals. I'd also dig an Enfield with a sidecar, but you'd be in the slow lane for sure.

I find the Can Am Syyders interesting, more so than a conventional trike, by a wide margin.

On the other hand, when I reach the point where I can't ride, I may just go for a classic droptop, maybe a Lotus? 8) Add a lifted Samurai and you're good to go. :P

I am also dissapointed/sad to hear about Husqvarna being sold again. This has partially soured my thoughts to get a TE449/511.

Speaking of Ural, they're growing rapidly lately, in relative terms - 2012 +30%. They don't say how much was the base, though:

Lotus Elan. 8)

Slow, unreliable, hard to find parts for, odd ball tools needed, very loyal fan club regardless....

The PERFECT car for a Chinarider! :P

The Miata is a MUCH faster, smoother, more efficent, less expensive, more comfortable, more reliable ,more air and watertight, more rust resistant, more available, more user friendly, better ergonomics, better ingress/egress, safer, insurable, and has a zillion times better parts and dealer support. If I had more time I could list another 100 reasons its better.

I'd prefer the Lotus. 8)

The last two posts remind me of the way most men assess women. Of course, present company is excluded.
