Happy to be here for the upcoming new year!!!!

Sometimes things happen that remind me what is really important. Went for a mylogram to find out what was wrong with my back on Dec 5th. I couldn't stand the pain any longer. A few days later I was being operated on to relieve the constriction on my spinal cord in L4 because muscle grew into my spine. Think of a pair of pliers squeezing a garden hose. And yep, all caused by a bike crash a few years ago.

That surgery was so much a success feeling is returning to my legs and feet and most everything important below my waist. Thing is losing the feeling was so gradual I didn't know how much I had lost until it started coming back.

But two days after being released after the surgery I was back with raging AFIB and after a couple of days they got that under control. So home I went... again. Just in time for Christmas. The greatest gift I got this year is more time to be with my loved ones. And part of that is to be here with like minded folks who share a love of riding.

So to all....
I wish the coming new year be filled with the simple joy of being alive to enjoy all that life has to offer. Oh yeah... and lots of sunny days on two wheels for all of you to enjoy. I know I can't wait for spring!!!

Here's to a Happy (Happier!) New Year!!

My wife is working through New Years Eve to New Years Day. Our first time isolated for the event

We will Skype. But this is nothing like surgery! Congratulations on a good diagnosis and treatment.

Yep. The older one gets, the more perspective one grows. My "come to Jesus" lesson life dealt me was in 2015 (cancer and heart failure within three months of each other) and I've felt like the luckiest guy on the planet since. Happy New Year to all the China Riders.

Plan on it.

So, any plans for the new year?
Mine are:
1- Get Mrs. 2LZ successfully retired in March.
2- Finish my collection. This includes selling my DRZ and the Sportster, then adding a RE Bullet 500, and a 1968 BSA B44 Victor Special.

How's that cheesy???? ;-)

I already got the first ride of the year in this morning. 31F my a$$. I did find a small town cafe that had excellent coffee and even better biscuits and gravy.

First plan is to get Mrs.C healthy again. After she had four different doctors tell her she needed to get started on an exercise program after surgery, I almost heard her say I was right.

Clean the garage. Holy cow, does it need it.

Thin the herd.(That's just crazy talk)

Ignore the phone if the caller ID says MTM.
