Worn bearing noise?
Rebel T2 125cc getting a loud scraping sound from the right front wheel at faster speeds on smooth terrain. Do the spindles come off? Tried squirting a lot of lube into it - no better. This machine is only 3 weeks old.

I had that on my GIO dirt bike too, a bolt had come loose and was scraping on the swingarm, i believe the T2 has front disc brakes, make sure one of the bolts hasn't come loose that holds the rotor, also check the brake pads and make sure their ok, could also be bad bearings in the hub.

bolts
check to see if one of the bolts that hold the calipher on is not too long.. at the higher speed it maybe toucing the rotor... do you see any marks on the rotor??? the rotor may have a small warp in it.. and come into play when it is at high speeds

Found the source of the racket - the big gold colored "washer" that holds the rubber cap on the wheel. The washer which is stationary is almost rubbing on the wheel/brake assembly (which turns).
Pryed the edge of the washer away from the assembly and all is good now. |

Thanks for following up. Would a washer with a smaller OD fix the problem?

rubber cup holder
you should be able to remove the washer as most of them do not need this to hold the rubber dust cover on... ther eis a groove cut in the hub to do without the washer.. I ways take then off as sometimes they do not ship me the washers for the rear wheels.. so I have lots of spares...
