rear brakes hanging up
Both my taotao 250-E atv's rear brakes drag at times, causing reduced speed and overly heated calipers. Any suggestions as to how to keep this from happening. Thanks

Wash mud from vehicle more often???? not saying you don't... but Mud will get on the caliper piston & cause it not to retract correctly while riding if it's full of mud.

Bleed the brake system out just in case it has picked up some air. when the air heats up it could cause the caliper to drag.
If it fixes it but reoccurs then remove the bleeder screw and lube the thread with some dialectric grease to seal the threads. I've seen this on a few china bikes and quads. |
