150cc trike test drive.



Took this one for alittle test ride.

Riding a trike is alittle different. The owner works with me and he has been tweaking the drive some with different rollers. Right now it doesn't engage until about 3K rpm.

Also the reverse box was not fully disengaging. He had to adjust that to the point that he has it set for forward only.

Runs nice. Vibes alot. Not my thing.

That appears to be the larger chassis (250cc), rather than the large 150cc chassis (the "lump/hump" in the floorboard appears huge).

Was it set up like a 150cc ATV (chain driven axle), or was it something else again (I've seen pictures of a 4th type GY6 case with an axle hanging out both sides of the case)?

Vibes a lot.

Your typical scooter motor is double rubber mounted (at the engine mount to frame adapter and at the frame adapter to the frame) I *think* one pair of rubber mounts are done away with.

Unless there was a cargo box/platform my preference in a trike would have 2 front wheels..... single rear.

It has a chain drive to an ATV type axle. I think the reverse was built in the final drive of the scooter engine.

He got this one cheap due to it having issues that the "dealer" was unable to repair.

We found many issues caused by lack of "dealer" knowledge. Mostly loose bolts, missing spacers, misadjusted chain. One sprocket on backwards.
