Airplane Ride report...
Rimrock Lake, close to White Pass in The Cascade Mountains of Central Washington. About a 35 minute flight from my house. I feel lucky to live here (most of the time... )
Still plenty of snow on the mountains, the snow level is about 5,000 feet. Some of this will be here year round. Mt. Rainier. Some of you will recognise this form some trail rides we've done near the mountain. The second highest peak in the lower 48, and only a few feet lower than California's Mt. Whitney which is the highest. IMHO Rainier is more 'majestic' because of its amazing rise above the surrounding terrain. Whitney is hardly noticable (as being the tallest) as it is one jagged peak amongst many of similar height. Close to Mt. St. Helens. Our mountains blow. Approach to land at the lake. The landing strip.

Nice pics Doc, that strip could double duty as a par 5 during off peak hours
OK, maybe a par 9...What kind of room do they give you to slam the Maule down there...I know you don't need much. |

No pics but Roger and I spent the day on one of his friends private motocross tracks in Walla Walla. It was the first time I've ridden a track like this since owning The Beast.
It was a blessing to enjoy the track all to ourselves, and I had fun, and The Beast was finally in it's element but that type of rodong is NOT for me. I'd much rather be on a desert trail or a mountain switchback than riding in dusty circles over jumps that for me are basically obstacles. I also rode a KDX220, and a KTM200 2-Stroke that was a riot. :P

Thanks for the pics, Doc. I always recognize Ranier, because it looks so much like Baker. One of these days I'll snap a pic of it, if it ever stops raining.
