Zongshen GS 250 Newbie

Hello all, my name is Nitez and I am fixing to pick up a used 06 Zongshen GS 250 in a few hours. Did a few small tattoos for a shotgun and now trading the shotgun for this bike . I am actually getting this for my wife cause she has never drove a motorcycle before. I heard it was a good starter bike. Only thing is the guy told me cause it's been getting hot and cold a lot here lately in Alabama that he thinks the battery might have finally went bad. So if anyone has any advise on these bikes, it would be greatly appreciated .

Welcome to the forum!

I had a ZS GS250 a few years ago and was not able to get it to run. Turns out mine had no compression from poor valves and leakage past the rings. Because I only paid $150 for it in nbon running condition I elected to sell it for about the same money.

I was disappointed because it was a good looking seemingly comfortable bike.

Does this one run?

I'm not the only one on this forum who has has internal engine issues with this model.

In any event even not running it's worth a shotgun, assuming we are talking more an 870 and not a Red Label...
