You can still get GIO's shipped to you in Alberta.

You can still get GIO's shipped to you in Alberta. The disclaimer on the GIO website says that if you live in Alberta close to a larger city you have to buy from the brick and mortar stores (for double the price!). I inquired about an X35 and was told that they would be happy to ship one to me and I only live 45 mins away from Edmonton! So, if your interested in a GIO, be sure to get a hold of them and ask. Save yourself lots of $$$ over buying one from a dealer!

Are you actually considering a new X35?

I was thinking about it and figured I would inquire... After more thought though, I think I would be farther ahead to just put more aggressive tires on the Konker and use it instead. I don't imagine that the GIO 250 puts out much more power than my 200

Considering it's likely to be between 223 and 230cc, probably not. Is your Konker still running the stock tires?

It still has the Kingstones on it that tried to kill me . I'll be putting the Kenda's back on in the Spring when the snow goes away. If they aren't up to the trails around here I'm going to pop for one of Spud's Trakmasters... I love the look of those tires!

I think both you guys are correct. Mount some Kenda, K760 TrakMaster tires on your Konker, and you will conquer more trails than you could with a Gio X35.

Despite being a friend of the planet, I'll do a happy dance if you set those Kingstones on fire, after what they did to you.

Lol, I've got pretty scars to look at every day to remind me

I'll not ride on those tires ever again!

Edit: Though... It was my fault really. No gear is just plain silly! (and dangerous!)

Amen! For me, riding to the trail and back is half the fun!

I bought some AMBUSH tires off of eBay for $58 for the pair and those rock.
It allows my youngest to keep up to the 2-4x4 quads in everything EXCEPT deep mud.
