I'm still here

I haven't dissapeared (updates for other threads will come in time)
But lately me and the wife have been very busy

We finally put an offer in on a house (on thanksgiving weekend)
It was a bidding war as we don't have a large budget we went with an incredibly short closing date as a tactic.

We had a home inspection yesterday and everything is going to plan. Meeting with the realtor tomorrow to hopefully Finnish most of the stuff.

But possession date is Oct 30

We probably won't move in till mid-late November as there is some work to be done.

But fingers crossed the rest goes smooth

Dave

Shop was required

So was a bedroom that would fit the king sized bed according to the wife

I think we got both
Not an actual shop but it has a fairly big carport
Will close into garage one day.
But for now there is a closed in area at the back of the carport
I'm guessing almost 10'x10'
So thats where the bikes will be stored

I'm used to wrenching in the yard so a carport is a huge upgrade for me lol

Is there space for a shed? Will the municipality allow a shed without a permit? My city allows 110 square feet of shed without a permit, as long as it is a certain distance from easements. A shed can make a terrific workspace, especially if it has power for lights and a small heater.

"space" is where projects can be tinkered with over time, securely locked and safe from the elements

Shop space was a big necessity for me. 30x50 building now. Hopefully soon a portion will be insulated. I upgraded from storage shed and working outside.

Lots of space for a shed

Will be building one eventually aswell

I've been thinking about building one as well. If I do, I'm going to build as high as allowable, to provide rafter storage. I'll also insulate it, so it's warm in the winter.
