Thumbs Up

in one of the review youtubes, a guy compares it to the rx3 english version (honley or something) decides there's no issue the re is much better. also, there is a factory documentary on the development of the himalayan, the engine's innards look Massive!
I am liking this thing more and more . one vid shows a guy trying tomuscle one around in the dirt/rock at very high altitude lol he can hardly stand up himself, but he picks one up.
you are right, tho, black 400 is a lot off road, but not for an adv bike. even the small beemers are much more and this bike is built STRONG.

I'm a Royal Enfield owner for about 2 years now and I LOVE my bike.

I'd like a chance to ride the 400 sometime.

Razz Comparing apples to apples?

CSC RX-3------------------------------R.E. Himalaya
Weight. 385 lbs.-----------------401 lbs.
H.P. 24.8.--------------------24.5
Torque. 16.6 ft.lbs.-------------24 ft.lbs.
Lbs./H.P. 15.5--------------------16.3

So what do you want? More horsepower or more torque?
Are you looking for top speed or off-road ability?

Selling price in India

Is establishing an entry port in Texas where all the Enfield bikes will be assembled and fine tuned by certified technicians before heading to US dealers so there will be no half-assed assembly. The carbs will all be replaced with fuel injection to meet USA air quality standards. They are currently being road tested in the Detroit area and hopefully will be appearing at the International Motorcycle Shows around the world this year.
I requested to be placed on the waiting list for gaining information for when the Himalaya bikes will become available for sale in the USA.
This is more my style and size of bike. I'll be an early purchaser/owner!
The selling price in India for the Himalaya is equivalent to $2300.00 and $2600.00 U.S. Dollars, depending on whether it is an on-road or off-road model. It will be interesting to see what the selling price in the U.S.A. will be.
I was informed by Royal Enfield that the bike will be on display at the Long Beach International Mototcycle Show next month. Hope to view and try it on for size!

Not ticking my box. Awesome bike but I know they are going to go crazy on the price because of the r.e. prominence. Hawks, Storms and tt's will already climb telephone poles, will these 400cc r.e. do traffic at 24 hp? We ll see
