I think those are beautiful machines, but the price tag is too high for my pay grade. Only two years ago, you could get a new V7 for around $8000.00.

I think the V7's are still very affordable here, but in NZ may be different issue altogether.
Exchange rates? Tariffs? Not the best perfoming machines but oh the Italian look and feel and sound. Beautiful bikes. The V7 Racer in particular is a great looker.

17 Grand in NZ equals about $12260.00 USD. That's steep. More than I've ever paid for a cage.

Thanks for figuring that out. That's pretty steep. Must be more to it...
US price less than $11,000 and I bet there are steep discounts available. I've seen them sell new for less than $9,000 at dealership in Spokane: http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/moto-guzzi.html

That one has part of the Scrambler package. The pipe is quite expensive, and a solo seat. Still high but not as bad.
I got lucky on mine. I was going to scrambler it, but the shocks sucked real bad, and the money to do the conversion was insane. I paid $4k usd for a 2015 V7 Stone with $6k miles and full 1 year of warranty left. Great bike, should have kept it. |

The Ducati Scrambler is a good value, for a (semi)exotic Italian bike:
https://spokane.craigslist.org/mcd/5666602667.html I've hardly ever seen a deal as good as Mag00's!

I've often been curious about Guzzis and BMWs with regard to heat. It would seem that the airflow over the cylinders would cook your legs. Not so?

I've not heard any complaints, except in the hottest days of summer, while sitting in traffic.
